Joe Keatinge's Comics & Stories

“Joe Keatinge has established himself as the latest new writer I want to undermine and destroy. It’s just top class stuff.”
- Mark Millar (Kick-Ass, Civil War, Wanted, Ultimates)

"I think Joe is definitely one to watch."
- Robert Kirkman (Walking Dead, Invincible)

YEAH IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR!
Emerald City Comic Con is rolling up this weekend and Leila del Duca + I are rolling up with it, seated at table B-06.
I’m way stoked to sign whatever you wanna bring, but if you’re looking to pick some up, I’ll have my usual con exclusive deal of both Glory Vol. 1 & 2 for $20 total or cover price separately. Hell Yeah Vol. 1 & Morbius Vol. 1 for cover as well!
I have my absolute last stash of Glory #34 CBLDF variants for sale for $5 personalized and $10 non-personalized. I doubt I’ll have any left after this show.
Since it’s a local-ish con I’m going to have some stuff I never have at shows I fly to.
I’ve got some two buck comics — I found a stash of my rarest Marvel work — an Avengers Assemble issue featuring Captain America teaming up with Sleep Walker. The first of (so far) two instances where I work in Cap Wolf.
Also my very first DC Comic, an Arsenal one-shot with wicked awesome artist Ricken. Also my issue of Dia de los Muertos featuring Riley Rossmo and I riffing on 70s Kirby and a Fantastic Comics issue featuring Michael Allred and I doing a Stardust the Super Wizard story. Again, all for $2/pop.
Leila will have Prints to covers of issue 1 & 2, portfolio of original art and sketches with prices we will discover there together.
While we won’t have SHUTTER for sale (too early and retailers are real good to us!), Image said they’ll bring me an advance which you can buy for $25,000.

We’re also signing at the IMAGE COMICS booth Friday from 5-6 PM. They will have an EXTREMELY limited edition Shutter print to go along with the signing. My understanding is this is your one and only chance to grab one of those.
We’re ALSO on a panel:

mage Comics Presents Crime, Adventure, & Fantasy!
Gunfights, heists, cowboys, hoodlums, magicians, adventurers, aliens, and more: are you not entertained? Image Comics’ varied publishing line has something for everybody. Settle in and listen to the experts discuss creating entertaining stories.
Program date and time: Saturday, March 29, 5:00 p.m. in TCC 301
Panelists: Kelly Sue DeConnick (Pretty Deadly), Jason Latour (Southern Bastards), Jason Aaron (Southern Bastards), Joe Keatinge (Shutter), Leila Del Duca (Shutter), Frank Barbiere (Five Ghosts), Joshua Williamson (Ghosted)

I’m on another one on Friday with the Skybound crew.

Robert Kirkman’s Skybound: On the Rise
There’s no limit on what to expect from Skybound, Robert Kirkman’s imprint at Image Comics. The Walking Dead continues to dominate comics and television, Manifest Destiny is one of 2013’s breakout hits, and new series—like OUTCAST BY KIRKMAN & AZACETA—are on the horizon. Join Skybound’s best writers and artists as they discuss what’s in Skybound’s future.
Program date and time: Friday, March 28, 12:40 p.m. in Hall D (Room 602-603)

Other than that, we’ll both be around, are sociable and want to hang out with YOU, so don’t be a stranger if you see us around!

Like I mentioned earlier, I’m making my DC Comics debut this month. Pretty darn stoked about this one, in big part because I’m making it with HELL YEAH cover artist RICKEN, who’s in turn making her American interiors debut. And guess what? Her art is just as amazing on the inside of a comic as it is on the outside. Speaking of covers — RYAN SOOK WHAT.
